PowerPoint - Add headers and footers to a presentation Video
In this video, you will learn how to add headers and footers to a presentation.
Headers and footers are small details near the top or bottom of your slides, such as slide numbers, text footers, and the date.
You can choose the position and content of the headers and footers based on the theme and slide layout.
To insert headers and footers, click on "Insert" and then "Header and Footer." Make sure the "Slide" option is selected and choose your desired options, including date and time format and whether to show the current date or a fixed one.
You can also decide if you want to show slide numbers and include a text footer.
Importantly, there is an option to not show headers and footers on the title slide.
By clicking "Apply to all," the headers and footers will appear on all slides except the title slide.
If you want unique settings for a specific slide, select it, reopen the dialog box, make the desired changes, and click "Apply." For more control over headers and footers, you can click on "View" and then "Slide Master" to edit them on the slide master or any master layout.
By right-clicking a placeholder and selecting "Format Shape," you can access formatting options.
If you only want to change one layout, click on the layout and make the necessary changes, such as resizing a placeholder.
By following these steps, you will have full control over how headers and footers appear in your presentation.
This knowledge will help you enhance the visual appeal and professionalism of your slides.
